2 c. flour 1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter 1 lg. cream cheese FILLING: 1 (12 oz.) walnuts, ground 1 c. confectioners' sugar 2 egg whites, beaten A little grated lemon rind Mix first 3 as for a pie crust and refrigerate a short while. Roll out dough on powdered sugar, a little at a time, to make an 8-inch circle. Cut into small wedge shapes. Spread on filling and roll up like little jelly roll. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees until just brown, 8-10 minutes. I cheat and use "Solo" almond filling or your choice. Very rich. |
