3 WEEK COLE SLAW | |
3 lbs. white cabbage, chopped 1 lg. green pepper, chopped 1 lg. white onion, chopped 2 c. sugar 1 c. cooking oil 1 c. vinegar 2 tbsp. celery seed 1 tbsp. salt Combine cabbage, peppers, onions, sugar and mix well. Mix oil and vinegar, celery seed, salt. Bring to a hard boil, then pour over cabbage mixture and stir until very well mixed. Store in refrigerator in airtight container. Let stand at least 3 days. Flavor improves, the longer it stands. Will keep refrigerated for 1 month. |
