SUN PICKLES 
6 1/2 c. water
3 1/4 c. white vinegar
1/2-2/3 c. pickling salt
3 tsp. alum
1 clove garlic
Fresh dill
Cucumbers, enough to fill jar

Pack dill and cucumbers in 1 gallon jar (sun tea jar). Add garlic, then add other ingredients. Set in sun (outside) for 2 days, 3 days if cloudy. Bring in and refrigerate.
