1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix shortening, sugar and eggs. Then stir in sour cream and vanilla. Sift and stir flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Chill for 2 hours. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.

FROSTING: Mix powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 2 teaspoons of milk. Sprinkle with sugar.
