1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi sweet chocolate pieces 3 (4 oz.) pkgs. sweet cooking chocolate (German) 1 (pt., 7 or 8 oz.) jar marshmallow creme 2 c. chopped walnuts (or pecans) 4 1/2 c. sugar Pinch of salt 2 tbsp. butter 1 tall can evaporated milk You may use 24 ounces chocolate pieces instead of 12 ounce pieces and 12 ounce German chocolate - works well also. Combine all chocolate pieces, marshmallow creme, and nuts in large bowl. Combine sugar, salt, butter, and evaporated milk in large, heavy saucepan. Heat to boiling, stirring frequently. Boil 6 minutes. Pour over chocolate mixture immediately. Stir vigorously until chocolate is melted and mixture is creamy. Pour into buttered 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan. Let stand in refrigerator for a couple of hours and cut. Store in tightly covered box. Makes 5 pounds candy. |
