STEP 1: 2 c. raisins 2 c. boiling water 2 tbsp. butter 2 tsp. soda STEP 2: 2 eggs, beaten 2 c. sugar 1/2 c. nuts 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 4 c. sifted flour STEP 1: Pour boiling water over raisins, soda and butter. Let sit in refrigerator for 8 hours. STEP 2: Stir all ingredients into raisin mixture until well blended. Pour into greased and floured loaf pans or 3 pound coffee cans (1/2 full). Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. |
