LOW FAT & LOW CHOLESTEROL
CHOCOLATE CAKE
 
1 1/2 c. flour
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix these well, then add: 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. cold water

Put all in 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Sprinkle the top with powdered sugar.

I was really impressed with this cake. For being low fat and low cholesterol it had a rich, brownie-like taste and texture. I made mine using spelt flour and added a small handful of chocolate chips. Even my teenaged son likes it, this cake will be a definite favorite at my house. Thanks for posting it.

Great recipe, but rather dry & dense when prepared strictly by the recipe. Substitute 1/4 cup of oil or apple sauce for part of the water and it makes a huge difference.
