CHOCOLATE DIPPED STUFFED DATES
 

1 lb. pitted dates
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or Myer's Rum
1/3 c. Grand Marnier
1/2 c. toasted whole almonds
1 1/2 lb semi-sweet chocolate or Bakers Dipping Chocolate

Soak dates in sufficient hot water and vanilla extract or rum to cover for approximately 30 minutes. Drain and pat dry.

Soak dates in Grand Marnier (1 hour). Drain if necessary.

Stuff each date with an almond. Melt chocolate according to package directions.

Dip date in chocolate to coat completely. Arrange on wax paper.

Refrigerate until chocolate is set and you are ready to serve.
