FAMOUS NUTT HOUSE BUTTERMILK PIE 
9 inch unbaked pie shell
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 tbsp. flour
1 c. buttermilk

Cream butter and sugar together. Beat eggs and flour into the above mixture. Beat until fluffy. Fold buttermilk into above mixture and add a dash of nutmeg and/or vanilla or lemon flavoring. (We use only nutmeg.) Pour into pie shell and bake 45 or 50 minutes at 350 degrees.

This is the best, and I have tried several over the years. I make a double recipe and divide evenly between 3 deep dish pie shells. I also prebake the pie shells 8-10 minutes before adding the filling. This recipe is a little too much for one pie shell.
