Taste was great. Only thing I changed was to mix it with a 1/2 cup of butter. Then I rolled the butter in plastic wrap and chilled it. Once it was solid I cut pats and pushed them under loosened skin. The meat and the gravy were delicious! I will definitely use this recipe again.

We just tried this seasoning on our turkey at Thanksgiving and it was GREAT. It was as close to the seasoning they put on the store bought "savory" chickens. I also added it to the gravy. This recipe made out meal complete.

Thank you

I just used these seasonings on my turkey but used TURKEY BACON DRIPPINGS and Tony Chachere's Injectable creole style butter marinade and the turkey was wonderful! Merry Christina-Mas

I love this recipe this mix of spices along with the bacon drippings is not just for turkey but they make the very best roasted chicken you will ever have... I'm cooking a turkey for Super Bowl Sunday right now with this spice blend and the whole house smells like heaven, it's so yummy. Tip: Print this recipe out and give it to all your friends... the ones that invite you over for BBQ's and such... that way you'll know the chicken will always be delightful... :)

I tried the recipe and it was great. I rubbed olive oil over the whole bird then rubbed the seasoning all over. Cooked in a roasting bag with onion, celery, pineapple juice and a little butter. My Holiday Turkey is completely gone. Thank you, Cheryl.

This is so helpful. What I use is salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, old bay. Then stick an orange & lemon (both cut in half) inside the cavity.

I do not cook bacon, so I have no drippings in the house. I added the spices to softened butter minus seasoned salt due to diet restrictions and spread it under the turkey skin.
I did use oil spray on the skin before cooking.
