1/2 c. butter, melted
1 med. onion, chopped
1 c. chopped celery
1 1/2 lb. loaf of dry white bread
3/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sage
3/4 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 c. chicken broth (can be made with bouillon cubes or canned)
2 eggs, well beaten

Mix butter, onion, celery, spices, broth and eggs. Add bread which has been broken into small pieces. Put in lightly greased crock pot. Cook on high 45 minutes, then on low about 6 to 7 hours. Stir after the first 45 minutes and again 2 or 3 times during cooking. Do not pack the stuffing when stirring, stir lightly.
