1/3 c. softened butter
1/3 c. confectioners' sugar
1 egg yolk
2/3 c. all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. granulated sugar
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. quick-cooking oats
3/4 c. flaked coconut
2 (8 oz.) Mr. Goodbar chocolate bars
25 maraschino cherries, well drained

Cream butter, confectioners' sugar, and egg yolk in small mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Add 2/3 cup flour; blend well. Spread batter evenly into a greased 9-inch square pan. Layer will be thin. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes; cool 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, beat eggs lightly in small mixer bowl; blend in vanilla.

In a separate bowl, combine sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to beaten eggs. Stir in oats and coconut. Place Mr. Goodbar chocolate bars, peanut side up, on cooled layer. Spread coconut mixture on top of chocolate layer. Arrange cherry halves on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes until lightly browned. Cool; and cut into squares.
