2 c. dried soybeans
1 med. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. oil
2/3 c. tomato paste
2 tbsp. molasses
2 tbsp. honey or more
2 c. liquid from cooked soybeans
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. tamari

Soak dried soybeans overnight. Drain, cover with water. Bake 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Mix beans with onion, oil, tomato paste, molasses, honey, liquid from cooked soybeans, oregano, brown sugar, tamari. Put all into a covered casserole. Bake 1 hour at 350 degree oven. Uncover and bake 1 - 1 1/2 hours stirring occasionally. Variation: Could use lima beans.
