7 lb. cucumber, sliced
1 bottle of Lilly Lime or Reg. lime
5 lb. of sugar
1 qt. of vinegar
1/2 pkg. of cinnamon sticks or 4 sticks from can
1 tsp. mace
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. tumeric

Wash and slice cucumbers. Dissolve lime in ice water. Cover cucumbers and soak for 24 hours.

Rinse cucumber in cold water 2 times. Drain. Mix sugar, vinegar and spices and soak cucumbers overnight (24 hours).

Cook cucumber 20 minutes after they begin to boil. Let simmer while packing jars (sterilized jars).

I always add a small amount of vinegar and sugar to allow for evaporation.
