1 med. green cabbage
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground veal
1 1/2 cups white rice
1 med. onion
10 cloves garlic
1 egg
2 tbsp. salt
3 tbls. black pepper
1 tbls white pepper
2 24 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 12 oz can peach or apricot nectar

Remove outer leaves and core of cabbage and boil for 1/2 hour. Brown onion and garlic.

In bowl, mix by hand beef, veal, rice, spices, egg and browned onions and garlic.

Run cabbage under cold water.

In stew pot add tomatoes and nectar. Take larger cabbage leaves and roll hand full of meat into each leaf and close with it with a toothpick.

Gently place cabbage rolls in sauce and simmer on LOW heat for about 2 1/2 hours gently srirring every 15 minutes.

Serve with boiled or mashed potatoes.
