Preheat oven to 375°F. (190°C.) For convection oven, preheat to 350°F. (180°C.)
Mix eggs with sugar.
Add remaining ingredients in the following order: oil, honey, soda, cloves, cocoa and flour.
Lastly, add boiling water.
Bake for 1 to 1-1/4 hours.
After about 1/2 hour, lower heat to 350°F. (180°C.)
For last 10 to 15 minutes, lower heat to 325°F. (300°F. if using a convection).
Cooks Note: It is a wonderfully aromatic and deliciously moist cake, and keeps very well stored in an air-tight cake tin.
