ORANGE BOW KNOTS 
1 1/4 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. shortening
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 pkg. yeast
2 well beaten eggs
1/4 c. orange juice
5 c. sifted flour

ICING:

10X sugar (confectioners' or powdered sugar)
2-3 drops lemon juice
Orange juice
Butter

Combine and cool to lukewarm: milk, shortening, sugar and salt. Add yeast, eggs, orange juice and 5 cups of flour, 1 cup at a time. Cover and let stand for 10 minutes. Knead 2-3 minutes. Cover and let rise until double in bulk, punch down, form into rolls and let rise again.

Divide into 30 balls - roll each into 8 inch long strips and tie each into a knot. Bake at 400-425 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

Icing: Mix ingredients listed according to taste and consistency desired and pour over rolls after they are baked and have cooled for a few minutes.
