GERMAN CREAMED LETTUCE 
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 good handsful of leaf lettuce from garden
3/4 to 1 c. Half and Half

Wash and drain lettuce. Squeeze excess water from lettuce. Cut lettuce in small pieces. Put lettuce in bowl. Add the sugar and vinegar, mix and add the Half and Half. Mix well. Serve on cooked potatoes or as a side dish.
