I was reading your recipe for Swedish Meatballs and realized we have the same last name. My great grandparents are from Sweden. I don't know what part of Sweden; however I have always wanted to go there. My great grandfathers name was Eugene Benson. Anyway I am going to try and make Swedish Meatballs. Wish me luck. Peace. Karen Benson.

Our family recipe - I'm a second generation Swede - adds allspice to the meatballs and sauce!

My great-grandfather was also from Sweden- John Benson! I don't know from where either. I am trying to trace our ancestry but it is so difficult! Anyways... I thought that was neat. I actually just had a baby boy and named him Benson!
