EASY RAISIN BREAD | |
1 c. raisins 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. boiling water 1 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg, beaten 1 tbsp. salad oil Combine raisins and baking soda in small bowl. Add boiling water. Cool 30 minutes. Mix flour, sugar and salt in medium bowl. Stir raisin mixture, egg and oil into flour mixture. Mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until golden brown and when tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan. Remove to wire rack. |
