|FRIED CABBAGE (A German Dish)|
1 med. head cabbage
1 lg. bell pepper
1 tbsp. bacon drippings
Salt and black pepper to taste
In skillet with bacon grease add chopped cabbage, pepper, onion and salt and pepper. Stir well, cover, cook about 10 minutes with low flame. Add vinegar and cook about 5 minutes. Serve hot.
Note: Garlic adds more zest - just add to the above. Cast iron pot or skillet are ideal for this - but any will do.
