2 pkg. or 2 tbsp. yeast
3 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. warm milk
1 egg
1/2 c. melted shortening or cooking oil
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. warm water
Flour to make stiff dough - 4 to 5 c.

Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water in small bowl. In large mixing bowl combine warm milk (can use powdered milk), sugar, salt, shortening and egg. Add dissolved yeast and gradually add flour until dough can be kneaded. Let set for 10 minutes. Roll out dough, spread with butter, cinnamon and brown sugar. Roll up jelly roll style, cut, place on greased pans. Let rise 30 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Frost when cool, if desired.
