2/3 c. GW extra fine granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. butter
2 c. sliced pared tart apples
1 pkg. refrigerator biscuits
Gw powdered sugar

Combine granulated sugar, cinnamon, butter and apples in a saucepan; simmer, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender. Separate biscuits and roll each to an oval shape, about 5 inches long, Place 1 tablespoon of apple filling on half of oval; fold dough over filling and seal edges with a fork. Be certain they are sealed or filling will leak. Fry in 375 degree deep hot fat, turning once, for about 1 minute or until golden brown. Drain and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve warm. Makes 12 turnovers.
