CHURROS 
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water
1 egg, separated
Vegetable oil
Granulated or confectioners' sugar

Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add water gradually, mixing well. Whip egg white until frothy, add yolk and mix until well blended. Add flour mixture. Mix for 5 minutes.

Flatten dough with rolling pin and cut into small triangles. Deep fry triangles until golden brown. Sprinkle with sugar and serve.
