DELUXE BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
1 pkg. dry yeast
2 tbsp. warm water (105 to 115 degrees)
5 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
2 c. buttermilk
Melted butter

Dissolve yeast in warm water and set aside. Combine dry ingredients. Cut in butter until it resembles a coarse meal. Add yeast mixture and buttermilk to dry ingredients and mix well.

Turn dough onto floured surface and knead lightly 4 or 5 times. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter. Place on greased baking sheet. Brush tops with melted butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Can be frozen and used as needed.
