ABELSKIVERS 
4 egg yolks
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk
4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg (opt.)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat egg yolks with sugar. Add rest of ingredients. Fold in egg whites last. Bake in a greased abelskiver pan until brown and then turn.
