1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. white pepper

Discard butter from skillet. Add wine, lemon peel and lemon juice to skillet; cook and stir over medium heat 1 minute. Stir in salt and white pepper. Gradually pour in cream, stirring constantly, until hot; do not boil! Pour cream sauce over chicken; sprinkle with cheese and mushrooms. I've made a couple of personal modifications to this recipe, and everyone LOVES it.

1) Double all ingredients except chicken, butter, cheese. Serve over noodles or rice.
2) Instead of 1 cup mushrooms use 1 or 2 chopped, large, yellow onions.

Great recipe!

I made this for my girlfriend for a Valentine day dinner, she kept asking me for the recipe, but we all know, "if I tell you, I have to kill you." lol. Thank you for an excellent recipe.

I made slight modifications, double recipe, extra lemon juice with some orange juice and about a quarter cup of sugar. Then injected it into a pork roast to marinate. Everyone loved it. Thanks so much!
