WHOLE WHEAT BISCUITS | |
1 c. whole wheat flour 1 c. all-purpose flour 1 tbsp. baking powder 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/4 c. shortening 2/3 c. milk Mix dry ingredients in bowl. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Add milk; mix lightly until mixture clings together. Shape lightly into ball on floured surface. Roll 1/2 inch thick; cut with biscuit cutter. Place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes or until light brown. |
