FRESH PEACH BREAD 
3 c. sliced fresh peaches
1 3/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar, divided
2 c. self-rising flour or 2 c. plain flour + 2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1 c. fine chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Puree peaches and 6 tablespoons sugar in food processor or blender. Add eggs and the rest of the ingredients. Spoon in bread pan. Bake 55 minutes at 325 degrees or until done. Cool 10 minutes, then turn out and cool completely.
