PRETZEL SURPRISE 
2 c. pretzels, coarsely chopped
1 (9 oz.) pkg. Cool Whip
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 stick butter
3 tbsp. sugar
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. boiling water
1 lg. pkg. strawberry Jello
1 pkg. frozen strawberries

Combine pretzels, butter, 3 tablespoons sugar. Press into 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool.

Beat cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, then fold in Cool Whip. Layer on top of pretzel crust. Prepare Jello with 2 1/2 cups water. Add strawberries. Allow to set up slightly. Stir, then pour over cream cheese, Cool Whip layer. Refrigerate until completely set.
