MELTAWAY COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. cake flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. finely chopped walnuts
Strawberry or currant jelly
Confectioners' sugar

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Sift flour and salt together and add mixing thoroughly. Combine with chopped nuts.

Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet; make a hollow in center of each cookie. Drop 1/8 teaspoon jelly in center of each.

Bake about 8 minutes in a preheated 400 degree oven. While still warm, sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Makes 50.
