1 pkg. ham steaks (precooked) or enough ham to feed 4 people
4 to 6 potatoes, sliced
1 sm. onion, sliced
2 c. grated cheddar cheese
1 can undiluted cream of mushroom soup
Dash of paprika
Salt & pepper to taste

Boil potatoes and onions until tender. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a casserole dish, layer half of the potatoes, onions, ham and cheese (in that order), then make a second layer with the remaining half. Pour on can of cream of mushroom soup and sprinkle on paprika. You may add salt and pepper at any point. Cook in oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until heated thoroughly. Serves 4.
