Put 1 1/2 packages oxtails in small pot of water and boil for few minutes. Dump out and put in large pot of clean water. Put in 2 whole onions, 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce. Cook until it boils and simmer for 2-3 hours. When meat is tender, remove it.
Take off fat from sides of oxtails and remove onion. Add to broth, 4 potatoes, cut small, a few carrots (sliced), 1/4 head sliced cabbage, soup mix package of frozen vegetables and 1 small box of lima beans. Add meat also and cook until the lima beans are done. You can add salt if you wish. This is a great vegetable soup and your family will just love it. (So will the kids!)
