CRAZY CRUST CHERRY PIE 
1 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. water
2/3 c. solid vegetable shortening
1 egg
1 (1 lb. 5 oz.) can cherry pie mix

In a small bowl, combine all of the ingredients, except the pie mix. Blend at the lowest speed of the mixer for about 30 seconds, then beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Spread batter into a 10 inch or 9 inch deep dish pie pan. Carefully spoon the cherry pie mix into the center of the batter, don't stir. Bake at 425 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
