TEXAS APPLE PIE 
3 lg. peeled apples
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 stick butter
Nutmeg
Pie crust

Grate apples and 3 tablespoons of lemon juice. In separate bowls cream sugar and butter, add apples and stir. Pour into unbaked pie crust and criss-cross top with pie crust strips. Cook about 45 minutes at 325 degrees. Add pinch of nutmeg if desired.
