FILLING:

1/4 lb. cooked chicken (preferably chicken breasts)
1 rib celery, finely minced
1/4 tsp. curry powder
2 to 4 tbsp. mayonnaise
1 tbsp. finely minced red onion
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

BREAD AND GARNISH:

12 thin slices good whole-wheat bread
Additional mayonnaise
3/4 c. sliced almonds
