JEANETTES' ITALIAN WEDDING COOKIES 
6 eggs, beat 10 minutes
1/4 lb. melted butter
1 tsp. anise or vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
3 or 4 c. sifted flour plus 1 tsp. baking powder for every c. of flour
3/4 c. sugar

Beat eggs until thick; add butter, sugar, and flavoring. Mix well. Add sifted flour with baking powder. Beat well by hand so dough isn't sticky. Take small amount of dough and roll into small balls or into thin rolls, 1/2 inch diameter and 5 inches long strips; tie in loose knot. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes until lightly browned; cool. Frost with thin icing.
