7 - UP POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1 lb. butter
1/2 c. butter flavored canned Crisco
5 eggs
3 c. Swans Down cake flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 c. 7-up soda
1 tsp. lemon extract

GLAZE:

1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
Lemon juice as desired for consistency

Cream together sugar, butter, Crisco and eggs. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add flour mixture alternately with 7-up soda. Add lemon extract. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Let cake cool. Remove from pan. Mix confectioners' sugar and lemon juice for glaze. Spoon over top of cake.
