POT LICKER DUMPLINGS 
1 ham hock
Turnip greens
2 tbsp. chopped onions
2 1/2 c. meal
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, well beaten

When ham and greens are done, make dumplings: Combine onion, meal, and salt to make a stiff dough. Stir in egg. Shape into small patties. Lay gently on top of simmering greens. Cover. Cook 10-15 minutes.
