|CHEESY - CHUNKY - SPICY PORK CHOPS|
6 pork chops
1 pepper, cut sm.
1 onion, cut sm.
4 to 6 oz. sliced mushrooms
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
4 cloves garlic, chopped
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tsp. oregano
In large skillet take piece of fat from chop and grease pan by rubbing entire surface. Brown quickly on each side then add tomato sauce, pepper chunks, onion, mushrooms and garlic and oregano. Lower heat. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes, keep checking.
Take chunks of pepper, mushroom and onion and spoon on top of chops. Slice Mozzarella and cover each chop generously with cheese. Cover and let cheese melt, approximately 1 to 2 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles or with potatoes and vegetable on side.
