1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until fluffy. Add beaten egg and vanilla. Add well drained pineapple to mixture. Sift flour before measuring, then mix flour, salt, soda, and baking powder together and sift. Add dry ingredients, a little at a time, beating well after each addition. Add chopped nuts or pecans and drop teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
