Grind pears and/or chop to small size pieces. Mix together: 1 c. crushed pineapple
Add 2 level cups of sugar. Mix thoroughly. Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring every few minutes until mixture thickens and is a golden color of honey.
Place in jars like any other jelly, while hot and if sealed properly can be stored for long periods. Amounts can be increased to much larger quantities and cooked accordingly. The larger the batch the longer the cooking time. Great with warm breads and toast, or even over ice cream.
