HOT GYPSY GOULASH 
3 tbsp. shortening
3 lbs. ground meat: 1 lb. each veal, pork and beef
2 lg. onions
3 heaping tbsp. flour
1 qt. water
1/2 tsp. paprika
1 to 2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. whole crushed red peppers
1 lg. can sauerkraut

Brown meat and onion in shortening. Add flour over meat and brown until golden. Add water and cook slowly for 1 hour. Add paprika, salt, pepper and red pepper. Cook all of this together. About 1/2 hour before serving, add sauerkraut and simmer for 1/2 hour.
