OLD FASHIONED DANISH APPLE PIE 
6 or 7 apples, peeled and sliced
3/4 c. barley-malt syrup or honey
1 stick of safflower oil butter
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
A pinch of salt
1 tsp. cinnamon

First, oil a baking dish with safflower oil butter. Place the apples in the dish and drizzle with barley-malt syrup or honey. Mix together butter, flour, salt, and cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.

NOTE: Cut butter in small pieces when mixing with flour, etc.
