APPLE FRITTERS 
6 lg. tart apples
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
Confectioners sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1 c. milk
Oil for frying

Peel and core apples and slice in 1/2 inch rings. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and baking powder. Stir in egg and gradually add milk until batter is smooth. Heat oil to 380 degrees. Dip apple rings into batter and then into hot oil. Fry until golden on each side. Remove. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with confectioner sugar.
