4 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. alum powder
3 tbsp. pickling spice
4 tbsp. salt
Combine and mix well.
4 c. sugar to 1 gallon cucumbers
Wash cucumbers and pack whole cucumbers in a big mouth gallon jar. Pour above mixture over cucumbers and finish filling jar with water and seal. Let set 2 months. Pour off vinegar, rinse jar and cucumbers.
Slice cucumbers and put back in jar. Put 4 cups sugar over slices (JUST SUGAR), and stir every few days until sugar is completely dissolved. Keep lid on. Ready to eat when sugar is completely dissolved.
