ONE HOUR YEAST ROLLS 
1 1/2 c. warm milk
2 tbsp. sugar
6 tbsp. shortening
4 pkgs. yeast
4 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt

Place in a saucepan and heat until warm, milk, sugar and shortening. Add yeast to warm milk mixture until dissolved. Add flour and salt and beat with a spoon until batter is very smooth. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes. Punch down and shape or roll into rolls. Place rolls on a buttered pan or in buttered muffin tins and let rise in a warm place for 15 minutes. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
