APPLE STREUSEL 
REGULAR PASTRY:

5-6 apples
1/2 c. white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt

STREUSEL:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. butter
3/4 c. flour

Make regular pastry. Peel and pare apples. Slice them. Mix and add to apples: white sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Stir and let stand in bowl while making streusel.

Mix in separate bowl with fingers, until crumbly the brown sugar, butter and flour. Put apples in pie shell and sprinkle streusel on top. Bake 25 minutes at 400 degrees and then 20 minutes at 300 degrees.
