MERINGUE TEASERS 
2 egg whites, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. sugar, sifted
Pinch of salt
1/2 c. crushed candy (candy cane, etc.)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cover cookie sheets with tin foil. Beat egg whites in small bowl until foamy. Gradually beat in sugar until meringue forms stiff peaks. Add vanilla and salt; stir in candy. Drop meringue by teaspoons onto prepared cookie sheets. Place in oven. Turn off oven. Do not open for at least 6 hours or overnight.
