1 1/2 lb. stew meat
2 pkg. Williams' brown gravy mix
3/4 c. rice
2 tsp. seasoned salt
1 tsp. salt (more if you don't use seasoned salt)
1/4 tsp. black pepper
STEP 1: The stew meat will need to be cooked ahead of time until tender. Example: put it in a crockpot that morning with plenty of water, 1 teaspoon seasoned salt, 1/2 teaspoon salt and cook it on low. Will be ready that evening.
Step 2: Drain the meat and rinse in a collander. Make the brown gravy according to directions, add meat to the gravy and simmer while cooking rice.
Step 3: Boil rice with 1 teaspoon seasoned salt, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and pepper until done. Drain, but don't rinse. Serve brown gravy with beef over rice.
